This is a compilation album that Kayton put together after his wife passed away as a tribute to her. A great musician in her own right, Iva Lee recorded many songs with Kayton through the years, many of which are featured on this album. Before each track, Kayton gives a brief bit of history providing the context for its inclusion on the album. The introductions were recorded at Kayton's friend, Ricky Suter's studio. Kayton plays on all tracks.

Kayton Roberts Nashville, Tennessee

Originally from Florida, Kayton Roberts moved to Nashville in 1967 & began playing rhythm guitar for Hank Snow. In 1968, Kayton changed to steel & for 30 years, he toured with Snow, playing the Grand Ole Opry & numerous other venues. Snow died in 1999 & Kayton continued to perform & record. His latest trip to the studio was with Marty Stuart, playing steel on the title track of his Ghost Train CD. ... more
